Service Dog Sponsorship

Supporting Life-Changing Partnerships Through the Golden Touch Institute

Service dogs have the potential to transform lives by providing independence, stability, and daily support for individuals facing medical, neurological, psychiatric, or mobility challenges. However, developing a well-trained service dog requires years of thoughtful preparation, structured training, and mentorship.

Through sponsorship partnerships, individuals, families, businesses, and organizations can directly support the development of service dog teams. These partnerships allow qualified individuals to receive the guidance, training, and support required to develop a stable, reliable service dog.

The Golden Touch Approach

The Golden Touch Institute approaches service dog development differently than many traditional programs.

Rather than focusing only on task training, the PAWS ™  Method emphasizes emotional regulation, calm structure, and thoughtful partnership between dog and handler.

This philosophy supports the development of service dogs who are not only capable of performing tasks but who also possess the emotional stability and focus required to navigate complex environments alongside their handler.

What Sponsorship Supports:

  • Purpose-bred service dog prospects selected for temperament and stability

  • Early development and foundational training

  • Advanced service dog training and skill development

  • Mentorship and education for the handler

  • Ongoing guidance as the team develops and matures

  • Support resources through the Golden Touch Institute

Types of Sponsorship Opportunities

Full Team Sponsorship

Full sponsorship supports the development of an entire service dog team from early training through placement and mentorship. This level of support may include breeding, early development, training, and handler guidance.

Partial Sponsorship

Partial sponsorship contributions help fund specific stages of a service dog’s development such as early training, mentorship, or specialized skill development.

Program Sponsorship

Program sponsorship helps support the broader mission of developing service dog teams through the Golden Touch Institute. This may include educational resources, training infrastructure, and continued mentorship for participating teams.

Why Sponsorship Matters

The financial investment required to responsibly develop a service dog team can be significant. Training, mentorship, and early development require consistent time, resources, and professional guidance.

Sponsorship allows individuals who may greatly benefit from a service dog to access the training and support needed to build a successful partnership.

The Impact of Your Support

  • Helping individuals regain independence and confidence

  • Supporting emotional and medical stability

  • Creating life-changing human-dog partnerships

  • Advancing thoughtful service dog development practices
